Indian states on South Africa’s soil…!

It’s about the great entertainer IPL-2 2009 started in south Africa yesterday. Its really funny to see the local Indian matches played in the international grounds ..as the IPL is started for entertaining Indian fans and to earn money from them. So the teams were split  into names of states and things were organized . But now this was shifted to South Africa and the name has not changed for the tournament and the teams.

IPl should have been changed as IPL@International Premier League and the states names should have been removed . At least south African players should be given more priority to play in all the teams…but nothing happened. I don’t think this year IPL will earn more money….! When taking it as a game ..things are ok and it will be a good entertainer and it will give  new dimensions to the T20 format. May be IPL will  considered more important than T20 world cup in the forth coming years.

Its time for fab 4...!

Its time for fab 4...!

Anyways… I am really happy with the first day results. Congrats for the first winning of Sachin’s and Dravid’s team. Its Dravid’s turn to prove himself that  he is still good in cricket and eligible to lead a team. And also Ganguly is waiting for his turn…! Lets wait and see the performances of  the costly players like (kevin peiterson, Fleming etc.,) .

  1. Hi Casanova,

You have hit the nail on the head and thats re-naming the IPL to International Premier League….for world appeal and potential franchise of the format!

It also gives me pride in seeing Lalit Modi’s extraordinary organisational capabilities in the face of all adversity.

    Keep blogging mate! Good luck.
