Dance of Democracy – TN Elections 2016

Cheap politicals stunts will create a bad example for future young politicians. (Next Gen. Politicians). Tamil Nadu is experiencing the heights of cheap political stunts towards May 2016 elections. DMDK’s negotiation tactics,  PMK’s day dream for becoming CM of Tamil Nadu, DMK’s begging attitude for an alliance with DMDK, pathetic unnoticed BJP for no major calls for an alliance, no comments on Congress and other minor parties and finally silent and helpless AIADMK.

Aslo, we got to see few interesting happenings,

  1. PMK’s simple and effective and most needed manifesto ( but from a worse visionary -party head )
  2. Seeman’s NTK with effective and clean manifesto and principles ( not strong enough to win..but a good start if he maintains his stand of opposing Dravidian parties in future elections too)
  3. Vaiko-Thiruma’s MNK with a mix of so-called activists turned opportunists in politics (MDMK, VCK, CPI, CPM). A good decision to join together and may win hearts if they maintain this for 2 future elections at least

Few of the top blunders are as follows ( Dance of Democracy )

  1. DMK’s Namakku Naame Thittam – Heights of political stunt ( got some positive and negative vibes equally ) but a great entertainment through memes ( thanks for that )
  2.  PMK’s “Change Progress Anbumani” and related campaigns in Obama Style promotions from A leader-party head with no clarity and no individuality
  3. Congress’s belief and assurance on winning more seats in alliance with DMK
  4. BJP’s where to go situation and waiting for a last minute call from any of the parties for an alliance
  5. AIADMK’s silent and confused attitude
  6. DMDK leaders crystal clear interviews with blabbering every time and get trapped to the journalist questions ( as the way they wanted ) and for all the enjoyable memes circulated in social media portraying DMDK leader

Apart from all these blunders, the worst was the negotiation talks from all parties to Vijayakanth except AIADMK. TN ppl witnessed historical situations like, a 50+ year old party to beg DMDK for an alliance. Finally got ditched with the decision of DMDK’s standing alone in all 234 positions. But now DMK pitched in for post-election alliance with DMDK with no regrets of getting ditched recently.

More to talk about these wonders and blunders of TN elections 2016. The worst part is, people are left with No effective manifesto, No productive schemes and No sincere promises, No people-oriented principles, No inspiring leader and No hope for growth.

Good luck TN for more wonders and blunders of TN 2016 elections and also for a bright future with inspiring leaders like VK, MKS, AM, JJ.  😉 This too shall pass by. Another election will come and we hope for the best.

Wonders or blunders, Let us VOTE and decide.

ps: ”Dance of Democracy” is a title lifted from TOI’s election news page. This post is just a view of mine and no intention to portray or impose good or bad impression on any individual party. This is jusst an expression of my thoughts on day to day recent political incidents I came accross.

Crores of Donors

Thousands of Camps

Tonnes of Relief materials

Hundreds of huge containers

Thousands of vehicles, vans, lorrys,  Cars

Thousands of Shelters ( Marriage halls, mosques, temples, Churchs, community halls, bungalows, houses, Complexes, Multiplex, theatres )

These made Chennai what it is now. This is new to Chennai to face such a natural disaster. Chennai had no experience to handle this situation. Chennai would have never imagined getting these much support in a short notice. But everything happened. Very proud to be in the generation and humanity. No words to express thanks to Indian and NRI donors and the love they shared.

Life is so much beautiful with these good hearted people around as.Thanks for everything. We will be back in form in few weeks.

Raising Intolerance – Cheap Journalism.

I was just wondering about why there is so much fuss about the word INTOLERANCE & AAMIR. I watched the interview recently and it’s a usual interview with tactical questions from Top Journalist forum and Aamir’s views as answers. There are a lot of other things he spoke was constructive and totally ignored by the so call media and they only took the part where he stated about the intolerance ( insecurity ) and his wife’s conversation with him on the insecure feeling.

All these media hyped this to a new level and made it related to politics and portraying Aamir as anti-patriotic. This is just an act of cheap journalism and everything for TRP. HOT words from a HOT star – sells high in TRP or any other related term for other media. As a common man if I was a Muslim, I would have felt the same intolerance and alarmed about the general public and media’s perception of Terrorism related to Islam. Please, remove the religious tag from Terrorism.

It is all about the secure feeling that a nation gives to a common man. No matter what is your Foreign investment policy, no matter how the GDP grows, no matter about the stunning technology revolution, no matter on the new political policies and stands, a common man just want to feel secured wherever he lives. Even most of the Indian’s like me are feeling alarmed and insecure due to the recent activities of a nationwide religious movement and on their moral policing. This is just one example…and more to be listed.

I have a strong feeling that patriotism is getting out fashioned and unwanted in the current scenario. Let’s think Humanity, Let’s think Global. Raise your voice for truth, raise your voice for humanity. Let’s put an end to Cheap Journalism.

Preserving Childhood Happiness…!

Just in the completion stages  of the long time pending dream project. Its all about CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE (CSA). When it comes to social initiative (  duty ) I (We through Blossom) always thought of doing something on Education and Child Abuse ( sexual , verbal, physical ). Working on Education is the easiest one when compared to creating awareness on CSA. I always found it hard to implement and plan for this project.

It just got postponed for several reasons..some times due to lack of ppl, lack of awareness on how and where to start, most times on what to start etc., But Last year by this time….sort of managed to get into it and got a starting point about where to start and what to deal about. Since already few NGO’s are concentrating on the general CSA, we thought of dealing with the modern worlds CSA through Online (internet) and other communication devices. With the help of three of my friends, last year we managed to give a start. And due to some reasons..the works were stopped for several months. Atlast now we are reworking on this …and almost done. This time we will never miss it…and the awareness website will be launched in a day or two.

Creating Awareness on Child Sexual Abuse

Surely this time we will make it big and will create awareness in as many as ppl. And we will be a part in saving the children’s precious childhood memories…! Will update you soon on this…! Really excited to see the website in action. Just watch out for this space “watchyourkids.org“. Will be updated in a day or two.

ps: Blossom is a NGO, working towards the welfare of the society. Blossom mainly involved in Rural Education. Watch Your Kids is yet another initiative of Blossom, towards creating awareness on Child Sexual Abuse through Internet.

Equality in Quality …not this year….!

Today’s headlines…Tamil Nadu government cancels the “Uniform Education System” from this year. ( not sure its a complete stop or a temporary one ). There were lot of controversies when DMK implemented this two years back. But still they formed a committee with a group of experienced educationalists. They came up with a system which comprises both state board and matriculation syllabus. It was apposed by almost all the matric schools and most of the government school staffs.

The truth behind the things is…the syllabus is a good one…but its little low for Matric schools and TOOOO high for government school children ( TEACHERS). Without making any alterations in the implementation system in the government schools…the old DMK govt. implemented the system. But now the same thing is canceled by present government. I’m not sure about they did it for a good cause…or for a revenge sort of thing (cheap politics). But its time to stop this temporarily and get started with a extraordinary implementation system. Without a good implementation system…there will be lot of drop outs from the school…after 8th standard.

Lot to go…and lot to see…! Lets wish that atleast this government makes some considerable progress in Government school education. Both in terms of education and infrastructure.

Its not about the so called culture and tradition…!

Got to watch the  Tamil movie – Vamsam in theater few days back. As  I was much impressed with the director Pandiraj’s previous movie “pasanga”, my expectations was lil bit high. And the review in Ananda vikadan – a Tamil weekly magazine also added more expectations into me.  While watching the movie I was lil bit disappointed with a usual village subject with normal stuffs. But the efforts were good and cleanly displayed. The second half of the movie is good, especially Jayaprakash and Kishore’s performance were extraordinary.

But I feel, director Pandiraj can do much more than this.I feel these kind of subjects need a good music.  But this movie failed to impress with the music. But one thing I hate with this move , not only with this movie and with all other movies is when it was about a particular caste system. Told positive or negative, but it creates impact on common people. Cinema is not only a entertainment media for most ppl, it travels beyond that. It gets into many lives and hearts an a  sensitive media too.

This generation doesn’t need the things related to caste system and the stories related to that. It will create a impact on this generation too. We don’t want to see a caste based division and discrimination again with our generation. And we need our next generation without caste system existence. I’m aware that these caste and subdivision are created with some good reason, but all the ex-generation gentlemen spoiled those values and now it is carried with different note and intention. And with the rapidly changing in the attitude of the living style , these things doesn’t mean much. So better to avoid to deal it detail in the movies.

Coming to this film Vamsam, the movie deals with a south region caste and portrayed the so called tradition and culture. The worst part is , few of my friends being a good critic , they like this movie and praised this movie blindly with no reason. I wondered why it was…then while discussing  to them in detail, I  came to know that they are from the same caste and region and they feel proud about this. I’m not finding a fault in them. Because movies is not only a entertainment , it also creates impacts. What we say culture and tradition in movies are not actually. Things were created for good cause and later it has been used for different cause.

Lets create a new caste & religion  free world for our next modern generation. Wish every director should have some social responsibility.

ps: about the movie is afterall my views and not review. Perception varies…just expressed my views.

Blame Game Again….!

Whom to Blame – this Game never ends. I have prepared a brief report on the Tamilnadu HSC (12th) stateboard results 2010. With little bit improvement in the overall performance when compared to last year (2009). Good to see the overall performance of corporation school students when compared to last year. For 25th consecutive year virudunagar dt., has topped the list in pass percentage with 96%.

report on 12th std exam results 2010

Good things are known to every one through visual and print media. Coming to the other side, the overall performance of government schools are not much improved. A little bit increase in pass percentage doesn’t mean a lot. Few schools recorded around only 40% as pass percentage and no school has recorded 100% . No considerable state rank from the regualr subjects, most of the top ranks are from vocational subjects like photography , Food preservation, home science, medical lab tech, lithography printing etc., This story continues every year.

In the meantime, TN super power government announced caste based offers on the cutt of marks. This makes the Engineering to be easily accessible to everyone. Already corporate companies are complaining about , more number of non qualified fresh engineers coming out every year. With lacking in analytical and communicational skills, the unemployment will be increased. Engineering is not the only degree to pursue..there are lots of other areas to excel.

Govt., has to work on root(inner level) to improve the standards on schools and to make the student competitive. Reducing the cut off marks and giving offers on that , will never help them in long term. With lots of non standard schools & Engg. colleges, we should not expect the students to be qualified. Help the students to score more marks and not by reducing the cut off marks. Education department requires a serious attention to make India a self sustained country. More money , more knowledge to be invested on the Education department.

I Dream for the day, “Top marks from govt., schools” , “DAV schools comes last in the list” , “English not a barrier for rural students”, “Money not a barrier for higher studies”, “Caste no bar for admissions”, “educational based things in the manifesto of political parties” etc.,

Dreams will come true….!

Lashings of thanks to all the NGO’s, who worked behind the scenes of most government schools for betterment of the students.Next year the results will be and should be much better will all the NGO’s and teachers support.

ps:- All the above said are just my views, the details in the report are purely prepared from the news papers, accuracy of the data are based on that. I’m not against any particular government or schools. Just an social anger..” why not govt., schools”.
