Almost lost my breath for 6 mins

It’s the last six mins…heartbeats are becoming abnormal, hands started  shivering, out of breath…just taking some extra air through mouth, the temptations are kept on increasing…but still Sachin’s team (Mumbai Indian’s) lost the match by 3 runs to Kings 11 (yuvraj’s team). Mind says its after all a game but still heart says its Sachin’s team in trouble. It took me some 10 mins after the match to get back to the normal breath .

breath easy...game is a game.

Yes its DLF – IPL 2009. It’s interesting to see this years IPL, because every team is competing and matches are closing with a little difference. Almost every match ends in the last over..so its a nail biting experience often.  Really good cricket to watch. And the results were topsy-turvy when compared to 2008 IPL. Wish a bounce back from Kolkatta Knight Riders (KKR) and hope lots of surprises are awaiting.

Lots of matches are yet to be played… good to watch when we take it only to mind and not to heart. Happy watching cricket…!

Indian states on South Africa’s soil…!

It’s about the great entertainer IPL-2 2009 started in south Africa yesterday. Its really funny to see the local Indian matches played in the international grounds ..as the IPL is started for entertaining Indian fans and to earn money from them. So the teams were split  into names of states and things were organized . But now this was shifted to South Africa and the name has not changed for the tournament and the teams.

IPl should have been changed as IPL@International Premier League and the states names should have been removed . At least south African players should be given more priority to play in all the teams…but nothing happened. I don’t think this year IPL will earn more money….! When taking it as a game ..things are ok and it will be a good entertainer and it will give  new dimensions to the T20 format. May be IPL will  considered more important than T20 world cup in the forth coming years.

Its time for fab 4...!

Its time for fab 4...!

Anyways… I am really happy with the first day results. Congrats for the first winning of Sachin’s and Dravid’s team. Its Dravid’s turn to prove himself that  he is still good in cricket and eligible to lead a team. And also Ganguly is waiting for his turn…! Lets wait and see the performances of  the costly players like (kevin peiterson, Fleming etc.,) .

Bengal tiger dethroned again…!

Dada in problem again. John Buchanan, the coach for Kolkata Knight Riders has dropped Sourav Ganguly as a fixed captain for IPL 2020. Buchanan who feels Ganguly does not fall in the T20 scheme of things and he doubt his fitness for T20 format games. He says several reasons for this decision and opting for unique concept – no fixed captain. Whatever may be the decision ..finally Ganguly is targeted and put in trouble.

No need to Prove again...!

No need to Prove again...!

No one knows what is exactly behind this decision. Hope dada has proved himself a good captain in the last years IPL and his batting strike rates are good. And moreover IPL is more into business and not into sports. The unique aim of the format is to getting revenue. The game plan and format were designed according that. It’s not country oriented…its totally into business. Sourav has proved himself by bring more revenues in the Sharukh khan owned KKR in 2008 IPL. Hope Buchanan tries to wear the mask of Greg chappel/kiran moore/vensargar. As a most successful, aggressive captain and player of world cricked, I don’t know what else he have to do to prove himself as a best captain/player. He is out of international cricket…but still he is targeted.

Anyways …despite of all the problems I/we wish to see some demolishing strikes from dada this season. And no need to prove himself again….we know you…!

The game was over …!

It’s all over for the Bengal tiger with the Indian Cricket team. Saurav Ganguly , the most aggressive and successful captain of Indian Cricket team, announced his retirement and his last day of cricket was today. The man who shown a different look to the Indian team in the overseas grounds. As he mentioned earlier, he left with a winning note.

As a great fan of Saurav , I always admire his aggression and the leadership quality in him. As one of the best left handed batsmen of Indian cricked team, he contrinuted much more than other players. He has numerous records both in batting and as a captain. It’s one of the sad day for kolkatta cricket lovers and for the fans of ganguly. And as sachin said , it’s not the day to worry about the retirement , its a day to appreiate the legendry crickter for his contributions made to cricket.

Every player will have a bad n good times in their career. As such ganguly faced lots of hurdles for the past three years. Despite of his best recovery in form and proven batting , he was not respected. Thanks for Srikanth for selecting him for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and its good on ganguly to announce his retirement. Since he wanted to end his carieer in a positive note. Thanks for M.S.Dhoni for handed over the captancy to Ganguly for last few overs and made to him to leave as a captain. He deserves it.

Tiger’s Story in numbers

Apart from all the controversies on him, we Love Ganguly for what he is. BCCI, India/world cricket fans will remember his contributions to cricket. Hats Off Saurav n sorry for the things happened…! We miss you a lot !
