Cheap politicals stunts will create a bad example for future young politicians. (Next Gen. Politicians). Tamil Nadu is experiencing the heights of cheap political stunts towards May 2016 elections. DMDK’s negotiation tactics, PMK’s daydream for becoming CM of Tamil Nadu, DMK’s begging attitude for an alliance with DMDK, pathetic unnoticed BJP for no major calls for an alliance, no comments on Congress and other minor parties and finally silent and helpless AIADMK.
Also, we got to see a few interesting happenings,
- PMK’s simple and effective and most needed manifesto ( but from a worse visionary -party head )
- Seeman’s NTK with effective and clean manifesto and principles ( not strong enough to win..but a good start if he maintains his stand of opposing Dravidian parties in future elections too)
- Vaiko-Thiruma’s MNK with a mix of so-called activists turned opportunists in politics (MDMK, VCK, CPI, CPM). A good decision to join together and may win hearts if they maintain this for 2 future elections at least
Few of the top blunders are as follows ( Dance of Democracy )
- DMK’s Namakku Naame Thittam – Heights of political stunt ( got some positive and negative vibes equally ) but a great entertainment through memes ( thanks for that )
- PMK’s “Change Progress Anbumani” and related campaigns in Obama Style promotions from A leader-party head with no clarity and no individuality
- Congress’s belief and assurance on winning more seats in alliance with DMK
- BJP’s where to go situation and waiting for the last minute call from any of the parties for an alliance
- AIADMK’s silent and confused attitude
- DMDK leaders crystal clear interviews with blabbering every time and get trapped to the journalist questions ( as the way they wanted ) and for all the enjoyable memes circulated in social media portraying DMDK leader
Apart from all these blunders, the worst was the negotiation talks from all parties to Vijayakanth except AIADMK. TN ppl witnessed historical situations like a 50+-year-old party to beg DMDK for an alliance. Finally got ditched with the decision of DMDK’s standing alone in all 234 positions. But now DMK pitched in for a post-election alliance with DMDK with no regrets of getting ditched recently.
More to talk about these wonders and blunders of TN elections 2016. The worst part is, people are left with No effective manifesto, No productive schemes and No sincere promises, No people-oriented principles, No inspiring leader and No hope for growth.
Good luck TN for more wonders and blunders of TN 2016 elections and also for a bright future with inspiring leaders like VK, MKS, AM, JJ. 😉 This too shall pass by. Another election will come and we hope for the best.
Wonders or blunders, Let us VOTE and decide.
ps: ”Dance of Democracy” is a title lifted from TOI’s election news page. This post is just a view of mine and no intention to portray or impose a good or bad impression on any individual party. This is just an expression of my thoughts on day to day recent political incidents I came across.
Today’s headlines…Tamil Nadu government cancels the “Uniform Education System” from this year. ( not sure its a complete stop or a temporary one ). There were lot of controversies when DMK implemented this two years back. But still they formed a committee with a group of experienced educationalists. They came up with a system which comprises both state board and matriculation syllabus. It was apposed by almost all the matric schools and most of the government school staffs.
The truth behind the things is…the syllabus is a good one…but its little low for Matric schools and TOOOO high for government school children ( TEACHERS). Without making any alterations in the implementation system in the government schools…the old DMK govt. implemented the system. But now the same thing is canceled by present government. I’m not sure about they did it for a good cause…or for a revenge sort of thing (cheap politics). But its time to stop this temporarily and get started with a extraordinary implementation system. Without a good implementation system…there will be lot of drop outs from the school…after 8th standard.
Lot to go…and lot to see…! Lets wish that atleast this government makes some considerable progress in Government school education. Both in terms of education and infrastructure.
Happy Independence Day…..by saying this once can display his patriotism. This is what happening today. I better wanted to call this day as social awareness day or social service day or Activism Day. Because lots of blood donation camps. medical camps, orphanage visits etc., are arranged today almost all the orphanages would be crowded with the good hearted persons…!
The happy thing is atleast in this day most ones get some awareness that they should atleast look back at the society. The good thing is that this kind of activities will change atleast few minds to contribute more to the society.
And coming to the point…this time I can say that this day is IN-DEPENDENT day . Because more basic things are still restricted in one way or other due these worse politicians.
Happy IN-DEPENDENCE day...!
Lack of quality in education in govt schools, restriction of higher studies due to family economy, less investment in Research and development in all the fields, going backwards in agriculture, increase in deaths due to droughts, no safe country for girls after 9.00 pm, no safe (good) roads to drive, no freedom to enjoy 24 hrs electricity, no control in increase in daily usable, increasing orphanages, etc., The list will continue. All the above said getting worse year by year. This is not a good sign of celebrating the 60 plus years of independence.
There are more things to be mentioned as improvement. I always look at the other side….because we need more improvement. People took activism os a one day can speak about best in the country. People took activism as a second profession can speak about the rest in the country, simply the real face of the country. So I come in second category.
And finally this day really good because of the vijay TV programs. Starting from Sivakumar’s tamil related program , neeya naana, yethu sudanthiram etc., this day was full of entertainments. Usually i take off from activism on this day. 🙂
Counting will start at 8.00 am today for the votes registered and this day may be a end/beginning of many things….! Lets wait and see for long jumps , short jumps of political parties from their words and policies. Hope the third front leaders will get more importance for the new alliance with BJP or Congress.

I was just looking at the poll percentage of the 2009 elections. Since two phases of elections were over..I was really worried on seeing the poll percentage. The number of peoples turnout for voting was considerably less when compared to 2004 elections. Recently in the second phase of elections only 55% were recorded.
Phase 2 Elections poll turnuot
State 2004 2009
Andhra 72 68
Assam 69 62
Bihar 57 44
Goa 59 55
J&K 45 46
Jarkhand 57 47
Karnataka 62 55
MP 49 45
Maharastra 55 56
Manipur 56 65
Orissa 68 55
Tripura 67 80
UP 46 44
Total 59 55
ps:- source TOI news paper dated 24th april 2009 & all numbers in percentage (%)
Only Tripura has did a good job. I don’t think those peoples are influenced by Internet and online campaigns. But the most influenced Bangalore has registered only 50% o votes.
What happened to the online vote campaign, online awareness on the importance of voting. Seemed to be a election with more number of young votes…but less number of votes registered when compared to 2004 elections. Does this proves that the approach was totally failed ? what is the result of the “n” number of NGO’s working on this for past years ?
Wish to have some good numbers in the third and final phase of elections. And that too for sure …in tamil nadu we need a change….lets see…!
One thing I am sure that…..we have to change the approach for making the peoples vote. Let’s think differently.
Really this day was not comfortable for most of the people in Tamilnadu, reason behind this is DMK’s (political party) general strike on the Sri Lankan Tamils issue demanding immediate steps for a ceasefire in the island country began this morning. Normal life was affected because of no buses ,auto rickshaws and almost all the shops remains closed.Almost all the colleges, institutions, companies etc., remain closed.
For begging votes...!
Yet another opportunistic decision from the greatest leader of Tamil Nadu. He can write a book on the tricks and twists of making use of the situations in politics. What is gonna happen by striking here at this time…he should have done this several months back…that too he had 40 MP’s in control. Nothing was done at that time except some slips and jerks in the statements on this issue. They can say that the strike was successful and they can be happy for that..but we peoples are loosing from their success.
For the better part ..atleast fews parties were not supported this strike. Only one thing I can request to the greatest leaders of Tamilnadu…there are 1000 ways to express your love of tamil and tamilian..and sure that this is not one among them. Please don’t disturb normal life for your bulshit things…!
Hope peoples are much aware than before…and they know why this strike and for what. This strike is not to save the innocent civilians in srilanka..but for saving the party from loosing in Elections.Really we need a change from this great state govt. Think thrice before getting a mark in the index finger…!

Lets make democracy work for us
Hope this year more votes will be recorded by the educated peoples because of the online campaign and awarness created on voting. And also due to the tremendous efforts took by various NGO’s and Infotainment companies (Jaagore, Lead India of TOI, etc.,). Todays youngsters got more medias to get large details on the candidate and their history. So they can analyse the performance of the candidae and vote. If this was done …India will be in the positive side after this elections.
As a resposnoble Indian citezen we should register our vote for the right candidate or atleast go for 49-O (not willing to vote) option. Especially the young professionals should do it. Voting is one of the biggest social responsibility and by doing it every one become a part of the democracy. Lets vote to quote India in good phrases.
One this just need to say….nothing big you have to do to India…vote atleast.
